Hi. Can anyone recommend a good paypal alternative? There are lots of bad storys about paypal ripping people off on the internet. Im going to be building websites for people. How would I protect myself from chargebacks and other scammers. Thanks in advance.
If the person you are transacting with is a member of dp....You can check them out there and look at their iTrader & past transactions.
Everyone's first choice is Paypal as its widely accepted payment processor though there is some chargebacks and scammings issues But you have to take extra care of yourself there while dealing with others. Other good payment processors are Moneybookers,2CO,Alertpay,ePassporte etc. Check more details at their sites. DON.
If you deal with any DP Members here then check his/her iTraders (buy/sell activity not just trade activity) and then only go with transact with him/her for your own safety. DON.
You could always try a real merchant account. There are some that offer free virtual terminals and payment online gateways. They are much cheaper than paypal too.
It hard to prevent charge back by customer especially using PP coz PP don't cover virtual item such as website. If you wish to prevent charge back,i do suggest you use 2CO coz they have strong seller protection policy than PP
Best alternative to paypal is moneybookers but if paypal offers your country then you can go for it as its the most used payment processor now a days
Paypal is good.You just accept,when a verified paypal user pay. Besides,you can use moneybookers, alertpay Both is world wide recognized & popular.
