You guys are blind and to be honest, I don't at all feel any sympathy for the fools putting up high bids and a domain that is nothing more than a 301 redirect off the real pr 7 domain.

@sunny - you should know better!

TigsD kept its pr7. its owned by michale goldman on this forum - who is "reputable". Seems he added the top bid on the front of his own directory...

I had this issue about 6 or so months ago. I luckily picked up, in my opinion, a cool looking domain that wasn't very brandable for a 'directory', but does the job with a bit of intrigue. When I bought it, it was PR6. I started a bid directory on it the day after I bought it, couple of weeks later, it fell to PR2.

You guessed it, a few people here (attempted to, it must be said) slated me here for it. Funnily enough I did quite bit of work on it, and it's now back to PR6 and has a few PR5 categories. I had a full homepage of outgoing links at the last PR update, when my site went from PR2 to PR6.

Work hard, reap the rewards, it's only fair :)

You said it all...whatever PR you are getting from those domains you can build up with hard work and link management a good stable PR.

That domain was dropped by www.tig.com and the PR really belongs to that company not to the bidding directory. IMO pretending that your bidding directory is a PR 7 and an 11 year old site when really isn't is misleading the public and a fraud they should be ashamed of themselves, but that is JMO. Don't encourage this guy.

So that means the PR for that directory will be going down after a while?

It is not that hard to fake it, seems he keeps cloaking it every time the update take place.
