Guys. I need suggestion on best open source shopping cart script. Hope it would be helpful to select better one.
+1 on Magento; OpenCart is another -- you really just need to take the time and evaluate the various options, as what works best for one provider may not in your business.
I know it's already been suggested but I'd like to elaborate. I would strongly recommend OpenCart.  The owner is rapidly developing, bringing in new and exciting things all the time.  There's now an affiliates system too!  I really cannot recommend it highly enough.  They also have an active MOD base of free/paid mods. I was in your position a while ago, and even before OpenCart got as good as it is now, I still concluded it was the best.  But now, it's simply astounding. Good luck! Chuckun
I dont know why you guys open up a new thread when there are hundreds of threads of the same topic already in the same forum..
I was excited to see this thread here, I quite need one for a new website I'm considering. Thanks for all the suggestions also. Edit: I'm probably going to use OpenCart and see how I get on with it.
Who are you using to process your payments? There are many 3rd party shopping cart modules available for different website back-ends and processors.
try eCart One of the great features about eCart is the Social Shopping feature we are working at. Social Shopping is a hybrid of traditional shopping and e-commerce where customers shop in a social networking environment benefiting from other customer reviews. “We have an integration feature that allows customers access to FaceBook, Twitter and other Social Network sites. Customers will have the ability to write reviews and complete summaries about the products they have purchased, including attaching images or videos to upload to Fickr or YouTube.â€
IMO OSCommerce is the best Open Source Shopping Cart available. It has many features and could be installed through Fantastico, Softaculous etc. within cPanel.
