hey guys I know ninjavideo.net uses DivX Web Player is that the best? are there any better ones? if so, how do I make those?
You can post *.mov videos on your web site, and anybody with QuickTime Player can watch it in high quality.
I personally use Youtube, Vimeo, Viddler, Revver, and Blip.tv for all my videos, and I compare the quality between them all. Youtube, if you make your project according to certain specs, does provide the best video, and it can be embedded onto any website for free. It also has the fastest upload of any of those sites, and it has the fastest conversion speed. Also, of all the sites I host my videos on, I get more walk-through traffic on Youtube because it has a larger user-base. The specs that work the best for Youtube are 1280x720, saved in H264 format. Here is my most recent video, on each of these services so you can compare them: Youtube (click on HD): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgeWnAqvlXU&feature=channel_page Vimeo: http://www.vimeo.com/3059316 Revver: http://revver.com/video/1471844/uploading-images-to-flickr-from-ubuntu/ Viddler: http://www.viddler.com/explore/usource/videos/4/ Blip.tv: http://blip.tv/file/1738690 Enjoy!
