best of posts in the sidebar

Hey guys, is there any plugin that displays the best posts for your sidebar in Wordpress that allows you to choose the best posts?

I h ave some at www.urbanmonk.net, but it is controlled by the amount of views - with stumbles, it means that the posts that I really want to display are not available. And changing how much weight it gives to the views doesn't really work either - I just want to choose a list of posts without going hardcoding it.

StevePavlina has one on his sidebar...I don't think it changes...so he's either hardcoded it or he's got a plugin that I can't find..thanks!

I was looking for this kind of plug-in, but couldn't find it. I installed a random posts plug-in instead...

I've seen it on some other blogs too, maybe they too hardcode it? I'll keep looking around too for it.

You have to code pure html and write the post title and link to it......in sidebar.....do you use sidebar widgets...then in a text widget put all html codes and give any heading.......
    (your theme should support widgets...)

Thanks sat123... my theme is pretty old, no widgets, but I found a plugin that does it!

    http://no.oneslistening.com/160

you need to make a few changes to the PHP otherwise they have some annoying things like putting a line break after each title, but otherwise it's easy. PM me if you are not sure about the changes, I changed line 26, that's all.

You can see the finished result in http://www.urbanmonk.net/ under Best of Urban Monk
