Best of DP

I thought it would be good to introduce our new members to the best threads that we have here at DP. I'm going to ask that everyone post the threads that they've found the most useful/helpful along with a short description.

Please don't clutter this space with "Thanks for the info" or "I like/hate this idea" or "JoeSchmo shouldn't have added that" type posts. If you have a problem or comment, please use PMs. I'd like this to be a thread where every post adds value so new (and old!) members can quickly "get to the bottom" of all the best info here at DP.

Ok, enough of that. I'm going to start:

Nintendo's mod_rewrite tutorial
So good that Shawn made it sticky! This is a great tutorial on mod_rewrite which is a method to create SEO-friendly URLs. I haven't actually done it yet, but after reading this I could explain it someone else and I am planning on using it on my future sites.

ysf1's RSS tutorial
ysf1 posted a script that lets you display any RSS feed on your website, allowing you to obtain fresh content while you sleep! I use this script myself and can attest to its ease of use.

Shoemoney's tips
Learn from those before you! Shoemoney talks about everything from how to use business entities to how to find ideas for sites. Great read!
