I see a lot of people here who are new to the internet marketing scene. So I decided to open this thread to discuss the best methods which they can use to start with this stuff. There are many ways to start with internet marketing. 1. Niche marketing - research the market - bring traffic - sell This is the one I started with. I found this method perfect for beginners on 30 Day Challenge site which was a way to make your first $10 online. Then moved into article writing and finally went to... 2. Affiliate marketing. Now, there are different ways to do affiliate marketing. The best one for me would be: - research the market - create squeeze page - drive opt-ins - establish credibility and sell them stuff Here is one example of one niche that hasn't worked for me: - I was researching how profitable is this phrase: "makeup styles" - I created hubpage (hubpage.com ranks well in google): http://hubpages.com/hub/Makeup-Styles - Got around 200 clicks in a few days. - No sales on my affiliate link, so I eventually gave up on this niche. What if my niche worked? Then I would - create a domain, something like learnmakeupstyles.com and build a squeeze page. Drive a traffic via articles and video. And then establishing myself as credibility to my opt-ins and selling other product. Easy It all comes down to the fundamentals. No fancy stuff, no magic pills. Just doing the fundamentals over and over again. Hope this helped. Can anyone else post some other case study that he/she thinks would be useful for beginners?
I'm glad my article helped you. Actually I felt pretty uncomfortable uncovering one of my 'niches' in fear that someone might steal it. I wonder if someone else is willing to "give away" something of value to help beginners "get the thing"
Nice post and a very good guide for beginners. I'd heard about the thirty day challenge and glad i've found another link to the site.
Well I am also weak in article writing, that's why I use Dragon Speak Naturally (still not perfected it, but see the potential). And you can always use video creation, it's never been easier!
very nice for beginners like me. I've been in last year's ThirtyDayChallenge I think it's the best place to start for anyone.
Hmm.. This seem to be a nice place for begineers to start. I wasnt even aware of this 30 day challenge. Its actually quite possible for a begineer ( who knows some gd english) to make 10$ within a week
The 30 day challenge does rock. I would also advise those who are new to Internet marketing to try and leverage any skills or knowledge they already have. Assuming you do have some skills or knowledge of value you should try and work with other newcomers by bartering or working on joint projects. Bartering is a great way to get things done on the cheap. For example if you're good at writing articles and need a website, find someone who's good at web design and offer your article writing services in exchange for a website. Be well.
this is why this is the greatest forum for internet marketers because members really do try to help others. Pick a way to advertise and take action.
yeah I totally agree and the probability for taking action is even higher if you find a niche you want and market with it.
