Hello All! I'm attempting to get a few backlinks going for my website, however, seems alot of bookmarking/tagging sites nofollow all outgoing links on bookmarks. That kinda defeated me when i realized this after a few days of nothing working, so my question now is: what's the best way to get the ball rolling? I have tried a few things such as small-scale advertising (a link to my website on forum signatures) but there still is no backlinks leading to my page. Am i just being impatient, or am i still not following the concept? thanks for any help.
Bookmarking websites, even if they didn't nofollow, would be low quality (PR0) backlinks anyway. A forum signature can be slightly more effective, especially since it's usually not nofollow. Link exchange can work great if you do it right.
So far in my experience, bookmarking sites can pull a little weight to themselves if loaded with natural keywords, but no spiders can crawl off of it due to the overuse of nofollow... good for boosting word about a certain subject to drive the results home. Most bookmarking sites i use are at least a PR5...
To get backlinks you need to buy links and also should submit to directories And also Google updates backlinks once in 3months or so So use Yahoo to check Backlinks for your site
What good does the homepage PageRank do for you? None. Only the sub-page PR matters, where your backlink is located.
You should start submitting to some directories. There are many of them, both free and paid. To find them, go to a http://www.directorycritic.com
The best method to get backlinks is to put the links to your websites in your forum profile, submit to link directories and do link exchanges.
It's difficult to find pages for link exchange!Every 20-30 submit by email, maybe 1 or 2 reply,i dont know how you guys find?
The concept is IMO : Give a good reason to your visitors to create links to your website (and incitate them to do it on each page by giving the code to do it)
Best things to get backlinks are; 1. directory submission... if you dont have pagerank then start from 0 page rank directory. Bcoz chances of rejection in high page rank directory is more. 2. Article submission. Leave your website url with anchor text in source box. Some sites will allow html tag in article also. So you will get 1 - 4 backlinks from a article. 3.Bookmarking is good to get high rank. 4. Leave comment on related blog post. 6. Create good content on your website. So people like to give link back to you.
Forum postings is the easiest way to gain backlinks IMO. But as for the better results, quality link exchange would be the best...
Articles are great for backlinks and traffic generation. BUT, take the time to write some good quality articles of your own directly related to pages on your site and use the related keywords in the copy, the title and your signature link. You can spin each article a few times and use keyword variations when submitting to different article directories. Use unique versions of the articles on your own site. Try and get into the habit of an article a day and create articles specifically with the particular page of your site in mind. Use your signature to directly link to that page rather than your homepage. If you create articles related to all your pages and keep at it on a daily basis you will soon start seeing results Good articles will be passed around and generate more traffic and backlinks for you. The only other thing I'd mention though is to make sure you have your site setup correctly around your keywords to make sure you're achieving maximum effect. Hope this helps
First of all yes! It sounds like you are impatient. SEO takes time, this stuff doesn't happen over night, even over weeks at that... If you really want to get the "ball rolling" purchase some links on sites that are related to yours.
