Too me, purchasing links on many websites high pr and low pr. Firstly it increased my pr in which i can sell and made money from and secondly it led me to recieving heaps of traffic and dominating adsense. The trick to it is to focus on traffic first and traffic for everything for that matter.

I think there isn't only one best marketing methods. Each of such methods has its own advantages and disadvantages. In one case we can use f.i. social bookmarting, in other case - something else. The main thing is not to be afraid to try something new and in the same time not to forget all proved methods.

Social bookmarking can bring u traffic but directory submission is can only help u to increase PR ! But my method of marketing is different.I use : Mail Listing Forum Posting Blog Posting Group Mailing and many more !

Some require more skill and effort to make them work than others. Adwords is one of the ones that requires more skill and work to be successfull.
It depends site to site and the behavior of your potential site visitors. Still I believe Article submission, Blog submission and free E-book will work well for every site.
