I've been reading this site most of today and have found some good information but i do believe that certain ways of marketing works for certain sites. My site is a hardware review site. My site is basically a forum with a portal page. The site is www.eteknix.com and the forum is http://forums.eteknix.com Would it be best to incorporate it all into www.eteknix.com to get better rankings etc...? Backlinks - I have 381 so far. I have around 12 members who sign on every day and post and probably have anywhere from 30-80 unique visitors a day. How can i improve this? Thanks, Andy
Create your main site at eteknix.com Create unique contents and how to type articles on your main site. Nicely categorize them. Create a software tool that will benefit to your visitors. Also start a blog at blog.eteknix.com Sign up in other gadget related forums. Write and publish articles. Only hardwork, good contents, and time are needed for success.
ipost new news every day and submit it to around 15 of the top social bookmark sites and other similar sites but all i seem to get is spiders on my site all day long. I have 32 guests on my forum/site right now because of the submitting to social bookmark sites. Andy
Your best source of new visitors will be to ask those 32 to refer your site to their friends. Continue promoting and providing solid content. When I published a weekly ezine, I would end by asking my subscribers to forward the issue to a friend if they found it helpful. Sometimes, they did. Make sure your sites have opt-in forms so that visitors can opt-in to receive updates if they want to. Your market doesn't like to be "sold". They like to be informed and reaffirmed. If you can do that with your content and communication, your visitor count will grow.
just make it good content think about the things that go on in the forum and make sure its all good topics also start a blog
