Best live chat plugin for Wordpress?

Looking for the best free live chat plugin,to chat directly with visitors to my wordpress site-anyone got any recommendations?

You may try Zopim. It's not WP plugin but definitely can be use with WP site. very powerful and free.

 

There is a plugin for Meebo i used to use or you can just have a page with the embed code.

 

If you just need 1 operator to chat with visitors I would recommend the following free options:

Zopim, Clickdesk, and Olark have WordPress plugins available on WordPress.org.


Another free option, that doesn't have a WordPress plugin (you would have to install the code manually), is Vivocha:

Our website personally use Zopim. It's very good actually.

 

There doesn't seem to be many good self-hosted WordPress chat plugins available. Most of them are "pretend" plugins - mainly a gateway to a paid monthly service. But we're trying to change that. I'm the co-developer of a self-hosted, WordPress live-chat plugin called WPChatR, at http://wickedcoolplugins.com/the-plugins/wpchatr-wordpress-chat-twitter-facebook/

It integrates with Twitter for a public chat-room where chat messages can be sent out as Tweets (to get your hashtag more Google-juice). Or you can simply use FaceBook connect for a private chat room (no messages posted to FB).

You mention you need a chat to chat with your visitors. Does that mean you need a live support solution?
Do you want to chat with your visitors in same public room or privately with each one?
