Hi there, I want to know that what are the best incoming links that help the websites pulling out from the supplemental index. Links such as from social bookmarking websites, web directories, related websites or others are more useful for the supplemental sites? I will be really thankful for any help. Best Regard KB
It will be better if you try to get links from the relevant sites and from related content pages. If you have a real estate related site then try to get links from real estate related article pages. If the link placed with in content then it will be more valuable. First you start submitting article and directory. In the preliminary stage these will help you to get better position.
IMO, duplicate contents are the one that makes your pages supplemental..create unique contents first before link building... heres a link to avoid supplemental results.... http://www.seo4fun.com/notes/supplementals.html regards!
Hi there, Thanks for the replies. I think duplicate content not only the problem for the supplemental index. There are definitely some other things as well. The main thing is no incoming links towards the home page and inner pages from the relevant websites. Regards KB
Read Matt Cutts from Google on supplemental results 1. Supplemental results do get included in SERPS 2. being supplemental means that the page doesn't have enough pagerank. The fix? each page that you want to get out of supps needs to have higher pagerank. Try to build deep links to pages within your site that you really want to show up in search results. To answer your question directly - best links are links that pass a lot of PR (either high PR page or lower PR page with few outbound links).
