Hi all I run a small web design agency. Whilst I don't offer or charge for seo link building services, I do try to work behind scenes to get clients some (easy to obtain) links to help their sites. What is the best type of links to get that will NOT trigger sandbox: 1 Adding links from squidoo lenses I own? 2 Adding links from blogs I own? 3 Adding links from a site I own? 4 Social bookmarking? 5 Directories? 6 Forum signatures? Am I right to be wary of automated link building softwares for NEW sites? Note As I'm not charging for seo link building, I'm not out to write ezine articles etc for them - just get some links here and there when I've time.
From my experience I have found that the more relevant the site the better, The other thing is time, try to make it look natural. Like a link here one day a couple of links there a couple of days later and so forth. If you were to use any type of automated help I would use it on the squidoo site and then point the squidoo site at your main site similar to a link wheel. Also I like to use no follow links because it looks like you are not trying to get a link. No follow links do work just not that good,
I recommend building links from articles. that method can generate backlinks and traffic from people who read your articles
Many thanks Trioman. However, I was asking for non time consuming methods of link building - as I'm not charging for it, it would just be for links I can slot in in the odd five minutes or so. As stated, this is links that will not harm new sites (eg maybe not automatically generated links?)
