Best link tracking method/tool?

Hello, currently I am using bit.ly to track clicks on my affiliate links and so far it is working well. However, it has been indicated to me that this might significantly lower your click through rate on your presell landing pages.

I am wondering if others agree with this, and what methods they use to track clicks?

A couple things that I wanted to mention. First off I would like to track each click in a landing page, and give different clickbank tracking codes for each link, however, I would like to display the same url to the user for every link.

Now, one method is to use jquery to modify the link the user sees on mouseover, although this would turn into a pain to make all those changes in code.

The next option I am thinking is to use 301 redirects, and then use a google virtual outbound tracking link as a goal so I can track the links in google analytics. The downside with this is that it isn't real time, but the good thing is that I would get great analytics for each click. Still unfortunately with this method I would not be able to specify a different clickbank tracking URL for the product link if I wanted them all to look the same.

My next question is whether or not anyone out there recommends any sort of tracking software or system. It is extremely useful to know in real time where the clicks are coming from, and this is what bit.ly helped me with tremendously. Thanks.

Try Prosper202. Just Google it and you will find it. It is free, but you have to host it yourself. It will track anything and everything. It will take some time to set up and learn. However, tracking your traffic, conversions, sales, etc... is critical.

    Check it out.
