Most SEO consultants will tell you the only way to build links is to do it manually. I have to agree with this concept and the links software gets you are not good. You need to take the time to do it manually.

 

you do not need to go far away, in this forum give backlinks to your site.

I think that the best way is doing it by yourself, it's almost rewarding to see your site build up higher on all search engines and all the links that you get, just shows that all of the time and effort eventually pays off. Just obviously wish it wasn't so time consuming.

I am only using anchor text --> keywords that my website has already ranked but not very well, so before I start creating backlinks, I checked my stat first to see keywords people used to get to my site, and then I checked what is my web's rank for that keywords, if it's too low ( more than 50 ) I don't bother to optimized it, but if it's between 20 - 30 then I use them as my anchor text.

You see, posting in the forum with Sig also generate backlinks to your website, that's why you should put sig link and be active in the forum closely related to your niche, believe me you'll get a significant traffic from it. I know it because one of my website get almost 90% traffic from forums.

I've tried quite a few linkbuilder tools and it's far more effective to do it manually. What difference have you seen in your position in SERPs?

 

Ya I think manually is better like most other people. Quality not quantity.

I have to agree with the majority of the posters, manual link building is by far the best. Think about it if you had 5 really powerful links from really trusted sites and your competitor has hundreds of crappy ones. Yours would out way theirs. Definitely a case of quality over quantity.

 

Search engines are getting very good at picking up "bad web neighborhoods" that some of these tools tend to post to, so yeah, it's much better to work manually on the better sites or forums.

 

I still do manual submissions! I do get more quality of back links with manual than automated.

 

IMO, if you are going to spend $147 to get a auto submitter, better to spend your money to get some link from Link Sales offer.
