- Directory submission
- Blog commenting
- Classified ad sites
- Forums

These are few techniques people use to build links. What other techniques I may use?

 

I think : Directory Submission and Social Bookmarking are the best.
You can try : Article Submission,Blog Commenting etc

 

If you are able to make some type of tool, maybe make a wordpress layout or something. If you have the skills to make something cool like that then you have a much better chance to get a massive amount of links. Bloggers will eat that stuff up and you'll get dozens of links.

 

Directory submission and Blog commenting are best one. Regarding blog commenting try to comment on old blogs and I found some blogs ranked 4-6, so you can easily post comment and get backlink on good ranked page.

I would like to point out that most of those blogs have the nofollow code so you won't get anything that will increase your PR.

 

I thought NOFOLLOW links counted as backlink. Only things is it doesn't LEAK the PR for the linking site.

 

Yes and if doesn't have any or give any credit for the PR and having the link there - then what's the point ? Google picked up on Blog comment spam a long time ago -

I have a few Blogs and they receive bulk spam daily annoying - but hey atleast they're updating my pages for me and they look active.

Funny thing is I receive visitors looking for the comments in Blog spam.

 

There was a time in which a single sponsored link in a good WordPress theme could generate you more than 100+ backlinks at once.

Before you even think about backlinks that most important thing is content, content, content.

Having content that people will want to read gives a massive bonus to a backlink campaign.

I think he means creating a new wordpress theme (layout) and then giving it away for free, yes. I've never done this myself, but it just seems like that is what they are saying. I'm sure many people would go to the site to download it, generating a fair amount of traffic.

when you do bolg comenting ,the first thing you should have a look whether the bolg contains NOFOLLOW code!

 

You should pick top ranking search engine like google,ask,msn,yahoo, altavista and try the following search

“keyword” + “add url”
“keyword” + “add site”
“keyword” + “submit url”
“keyword” + “submit site”

 

I generally submit comment even with nofollow. I do that because NOFOLLOW just make sure the linking site does not bleed PR, but I do get a backlink and traffic in some cases.
