Best link baiting ideas for a flight search tool

I have a flight search that gets some natural traffic but was wondering if anyone had some ideas of how I could get people to link to it naturally without having to pay for links or blog posts.

If I manage to get a link, what's the best way to dictate the anchor text or is this purely down to the decision of the linker?

I think my tool has as much use as something like skyscanner.net or flight.co.uk but obviously I haven't got the budget that those sites have so all ideas are very welcome.

    Thanks!

Try doing this, go to travel forums, and whenever someone asks about this info, refer to your website. Register like 3-4 IDs on each forum, and always refer to your website (with a constructive post of course) whenever someone is in need of info like this.

Go to travel blogs, post comments like... well.. for example someone made a blog post about an aviation company launching a series of new flights, you could make a comment like "Yeah thats really good news and will help all the guys who regularly go from destinationx to destinationy, cant wait to book my flight from "YOURSITE.COM" asap on these new planes!"

    That helps
