I had a thought, you kind of adviced to use buy-buttons because in regards to the small size, afterall they made 5%. But, what if you wouldn't have used them at all?!
Would you then have given an even more trustworthy look, instead of a commercial "i just want you to buy at amazon"-impression, which maybe, at least some visitors would react on.
But I also believe, in the fact of "leading" people strategies. But we also want visitors to appreciate our pages so they come back. And even link to us. Would you link to a page with buy-buttons?

I would like to share your views and experiences, if you have.

 

This is a great point. User behaviour is very unpredictable - it is easy to speculate what visitors might or might not like, but the best way to find out is to split test. Put a page up with buttons for 1 week and exactly the same without buttons for 1 week. Normalise the traffic and then compare the results - which had more conversions?

Actually I've had multiple people contact me asking for even more in depth information. If I were to provide more I may just share one of my niche sites - and if I do that yes I'd charge for it. In either case if you would like to know more I'm always posting on my blog

Anything that Amazon provides you to help you sell more is the worst possible thing you could use to try and make money. They should just close that stuff down but they do it as a "me too" sort of thing because everyone does banner ads.

I got to an average of $5,000 a month in about 18 months.

Hey Chris, This post really helps me a lot. I read this post on 6 May and soon apply it to my blogs, I am closed 7 transactions up until today. This is truly amazing! I have almost lose faith with amazon but now, I realize that my mistakes is probably other people mistakes too in trying to converting the amazon's products at my blogs.
