Well, i've just got a new Alienware M17x (with all the extras) - it pretty much blows any laptop i've ever had or seen out of the water. Stupidly fast machine, Just today I was playing Black Ops, on the highest settings, with dreamweaver, photoshop, some horse racing software, a defragger and a virus scan running in the background - played perfectly.
Wow....can you explain what is exacly and how much it cost!!!!i know i can google it,but i belive you know more then g
Basically, it's the Bugatti Veyron of off the shelf laptops (I'm sure there are custom made super laptops that make it look like an I-phone) Basic Specs Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 940XM (2.13 Ghz, 8MB, 4C) Win 7 ultimate Dual 1GB GDDR3 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 285M SLI 43cm (17") Wide UXGA (1920x1200) - Beyond HD (1200p) RGBLED 8192MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x4096] Blu-Ray ROM combo 1.2TB (5400 RPM) Free Fall Sensor Raid 0 "Stripe" Dual HDD - (2x640GB) Intel® Wireless LAN 6300 3x3 802.11a/b/g/n card Wasn't cheap, with repair cover and the upgrades it came to just over £4k. I wouldn't spend that much for a computer for personal use - but so far i've worked out my productivity is up 30% since I got it (I do a lot of video rendering etc that is pretty intensive) so really if I replace it once a year I end up with quite a bit more in my pocket than if I were to use a standard laptop. People say just get a desktop but I'm never in the same place for too long so I need to pack light. My entire worldly possessions consist of the laptop, a few gadgets, a phone and clothes.
alienware is the most for me. cause if you compare Alienware with Sony Vaio, Toshiba, and Fujitsu. you can get lower price with more high spech system with alienware.
