Best language for course/school site?

Hello, I am planning on starting a website in which people can register, pay for, and take a course with quizzes and exams. I am wondering which programming language is best for this type of site? Other similar sites I have seen use primarily PHP or ASP. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks.

So that it is more appealing you need some PHP+MYSQL+Jquery for a little interaction of the site. And also user can interact to your page interacting like facebook.

In that case you should look at all popular CMS (Joomla, Wordpress, etc) and choose system that more appropriate for your requirements.

PHP + MySQL pretty much sums the deal up.
