Hi everyone, sorry if this might sound like a dumb question. I am new in affiliate marketing and I am learning a lot in this forum. So my question is...

In your experience, which is the best landing page for an affiliate product? a blog, a review site, or what?

What is the best tracking tool for monitoring traffic? Is adstats okay?

Your response would be very much appreciated

    I personally use Google analytics.
Allows you to track page views, keywords (good for seo), bounce rate (to evaluate traffic quality), which pages are getting most visited, which page makes your visitor leave your site, average time on site, demographics, etc... from just adding a javascript on all of your website pages.

I also believe reviews sites do well. Usually, when someone learn about a product, especially clickbank, they will try and ask themselves "hey, does it really work"? and then they'll pass to phase 2 and look for professional reviews which might convince them to buy the item through your affiliate links.

    Just my 2 cents.

To find a good idea for a landing page, Google a product name like "Day Job Killer" and check out the competition. As for tracking software I use Keyword Radar-keywordradar.com, it works well because you don't have to rely on a merchant putting you Google ID on their landing page. It track's down to the keyword level.
