Until now, i've been always using .com/.net for my sites. I know this have been discussed several times, but here some people say that it doesn't matter if you use even a .info instead or a .com, and others say you won't even get a sale with a .info domain (some say because it's bad for SEO, others because of the bad-looking of the domain itself). So I would want to hear real experiences with people who have used both. Are you making good sales with .info sites? If so, is there any real difference with your .com domains, furthermore? Any difference for google? I hope this could help newbies also, who are told to do or not to do lots of things that, at the end, tend to be simple myths.
I have used both .info and .com I have received more traffic from .com for same niche using exact same methods vs. .info
I used to think it's the same but in recent test I made the .com gets a higher traffic but that not much. I used the same promotion for both
Hi, In my opinion .com and .net both are reliable. But generally for business purpose most of them use .com. So I would like to prefer .com
.info is typically used for a web site that provides information, if this is not your purpose you should go for either .com or .net as suggested by others.
Ganon, it doesn't make a bit of difference which extension you use. It's HOW you market it, and HOW your site looks that makes a difference. Google's computers does not favor one extension over another. It goes by the popularity of a site. That's just fucking stupid. And there is a lot of that going around. People don't go to a site, look at the address window and say to themselves: Wait a minute here...this is a info site. I'm not going to buy anything here. Ridiculous. It does not happen. Only a fucking moron, which there are a lot here, by the way, would think that. You are questioning the .info's. Heh, try the FM's. I have that extension. The other extensions were all bought, and I really wanted the name, The List, so I said, fuck it, and got the FM extension, knowing full well it really doesn't matter. I do just fine. In fact, better than the com's when it comes to bringing in people via marketing and word of mouth, so....
