    For me Google keyword tool would be my top choice. But as an alternative, I sometimes use Wordtracker when Google keyword tool is acting nuts.

    We can't rely on one keyword tool. Generally i use Market Samurai, Google adwords tool, keywordspy, spyfu, sem rush. I think data which is relative and similar in all these tools can be targeted.

    I have used Micro Niche Finder for several years. It has a feature that tells you whether or not you can be competitive with a keyword. Saves incredible amounts of time and research.

    I find Semrush to be very helpful yet very unreliable. I love it because its on my tool bar and I can quickly see a sites traffic without opening another window, but I wouldn't rely on the information from it because it seems to be a bit off with my sites. But for a general overview its pretty good.
