    Hi,

I am interested to know why you don't want to use google adwords keyword tool and you want to buy software? In reality, most of the paid keyword tools get their information from google adwords keyword tool!

If you are insistent on a paid tool however, market samurai is a good piece of software and then there is Web CEO.

google keywords is by far one of the best "free tools" around but it can also be a little miss-leading. Make sure you focus your key words on quality keywords / phrases = conversions as opposed to volume = more traffic, more competition and often less conversion rates. I guess it all depends on what service and product you are offering.

It has been said that the 2 best tools are Micro Niche Finder and Market Samurai. Honestly, I don't have the slightest idea. Haven't personally tried any of the 2 for lack of funds to get a hold of them.

Adwords is the best! I don't run adword campaigns but I got an account and just use it to find keywords to target organically for my warrior cat site. It's GREAT.

edit: whoops i didn't see that you said not to write adwords. but why pay for another one when adword is free? that is money better spent elsewhere..

I have micro niche finder and market samurai, but I always use micro niche finder, it's by far the best I've used, saves loads of time compared to using the google websites.

I've compiled all my favorite FREE techniques and tools for doing keyword research and prefer to combine them. Especially if you are trying to sell something, it's good to look at Amazon and Ebay, for example.

I find it is better to just find a good keyword on Adwords and then go. Go start doing the actual work, that is I find what people are always trying to put off by finding a better programme or whatnot. No matter how you go about it it will not be easy.
