I've tried a few different keyword suggestion tools, including the seobook one ( which uses wordtracker ) and the google adwords tool. The problem i've been finding is that they all seem to contradict each other on search numbers. i'm not just talking about small differences in numbers either. In general do you guys cross reference the different keyword suggestion tools or is there a source that you find more accurate than others?
Wordtracker is reliable but only uses a small % of the overall data out there ( it gets its data from Dogpile ). Google is giving you its data, which is the main source. It's like a club owner telling you how many people come in through the doors every day. Yes, there are still inaccuracies and it's best used as a guide rather than relying on the numbers as concrete evidence. This game is half art and half science. Just go with one and pull the trigger. Either will give you good results. Dean
if you want the keywords for adsense then yeah the googles tool is the best one since its specific for google and also you can see the estimated costs per keyword
thanks for the advice all. is microniche finder good enough to justify the price? given that other tools are free to use.
I will still stick to adwords tool. Not because it's free but since it's comes from google itself, it should be more accurate.
Use Seobook keyword suggestion tool if you want to find out which keywords people put in the search box and how popular they are.
Start with google keyword tool for both search and content. Put into micro niche finder. Always end with the free gtrends wordtracker tool. Nuff said..
Try this derivate of the Google Adwords Keyword tool: http://seoanalytic.com/tools/keyword_cpc_price/ . It's easier to use
