    These days I seem to find myself using the Adwords External keyword tool and the WordTracker free tool. I also use some of the other free tools now available, such as seodigger and spyfu.

    A good topic. I have always used Google's keyword suggestions but feel I could have been doing better. Some of the tools mentioned here give me more to think about.

    Wordtracker is a waste of money and gives skewed results ! Go with google suggestion tool ! . Its google aint it.. If they cant track searches no one can.

    The google external tool is fantastic, make sure you use the "show all" from the dropdown for what to display and you'll get lots of extra useful information.

    For digging up deeper keyword lists of thousands of kws, I use keyword elite, the best tool I've found for big lists.
