    Used word tracker but was extremely disappointed in the results. The database was just too small for my desired keywords and so it provided very little in return.

    Nothing beats a little creativity and thinking out of the box to come up with good keywords.

    Not really. A good keyword is something people search a lot and maybe click on an advert. A better keyword is something people search a lot and buy.

    Usually popular keywords give a lot of results in google. Sometimes you find keywords that are either less competitive but are very specific so have a good conversion rate, or sometimes it is a new product that has not been written about much on the web.

    some tools which I mostly used for keyword search and online potential are as follows. Wordtracker
    Keyword Discovery
    Google Adwords
    one more tool which was suggested by Google recently for effective keyword research is: http://www.google.com/sktool .

    Hopefully, above tools would really help you to find out targeted and relevant keywords...

    I have read people saying WOW! about market samurai at warrior forum as it upgrades atleast once every two weeks and it termed as the most complete tool for SEO and SEM. The person who has created this tool idea is Ed Dale of 30 day challenge.

    I think it's the best tool apart keyword research pro which is again a great tool for keyword research.
