Hi All, Several of my current clients have been having a rather heated discussion on what the best keyword research tool is. Anybody have any thoughts on the subject? Thanks!
All keyword research tools are based on different keywords statistics such as Google Adwords Keyword research tool shows you all time keyword performance statistics... whereas wordtracker gives you result related to its no. of searches by the users for a limited time period of 3 or 6 months (I m not sure about time period) So i use these 2 for searching keywords for my niche..
Wordtracker has worked best for me. However, I still bounce the key words/phrases I intend to use from Wordtracker off of google's keyword tool. I also frequently use adword anylyzer which automates a lot of processes but get's its results form wordracker or google's sandbox. Its about $60 and well worth the cost especially if you run adword campaigns. It works great for finding good keywords for adsense. I don't use adwords anymore but its still effective for finding great keywords.
my opinion both are the best tool but google adword is the most and i fist purity only for google adwords.....
I use Google External Keyword Tool, Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery. Some other useful tools are also available for eg. SEObook Keyword Tool, Digital point keyword tool, Miva etc.
I really don't think there is a best, I think the best thing is to utilize a few of them, a la wordtracker and google's external keyword tool to come to a conclusion.
Are there any tools that do a proper comparison of PPC per keyword indexed against current available pages (competition)?
try semrush paid version and also Keyword research PRO software, don't waste much of your time on Google KW tool.
I go with Google Adwords Keyword Tool. Most users uses Google as their favorite search engine. I use this tool because this tool provides information like overall search volume for a keyword, last month search volume, advertisers competition, highest volume of search occurred, estimated average CPC, estimated ad position, search volume trends.
I use both Google Adwords keyword tool and KeyWordDiscovery. As I develop both .com and .com.au websites I need to research both US and Australian markets when looking at keyword searches. Therefore both these tools work quite well for me (need paid version to search non US for keyword discovery).
