I'm going to start a jobs board. Anyone here with experience with jobs affiliate programs? I was going to try Job-a-matic but thought I should ask here first.
I tried jobamatic, after seeing your post, but its best as an add-on to your existing content site or blog. You get a remotely hosted subdomain ie xxxx.jobamatic.com and according to the TOS you cannot place your own hyperlinks (ie link back to your site) or place in an iframe on your site. You can use CNAME to mask/forward. You can build your own header & footer, change colors, & specify the types of ads to be shown. It only shows the first x ads on 1 page and there is no search. It blends and works nicely with my site but I'll have to wait and see if it generates any $$.
Yeah, I'm a little disappointed about the setup. I've got a domain for it, so I guess I'll go the CNAME route. I can get lots of relevant ads though, so that is good. No other responses. I guess no one here is doing any kind of jobs boards. Maybe I'll email a couple of folks who have them and ask what platform / partner they are using.
Okay, I did some research. Gawker blogs are using JobThread, but Simply Hired (Job-a-matic) is perhaps the most popular. Edgeio and Indeed are other options. TechCrunch has good coverage of these companies.
