Right now, I'm evaluating Joobsbox (http://www.joobsbox.com). Though it is still new, Joobsbox is based on Zend framework, which makes it extensible, and it has built-in plugin architecture. That means the platform not only can work standalone, but having the MVC core makes it able to bridge into other external applications (such as Joomla) as well as add to its own functionality without core hacks. I've been really scouring for open source GPL job boards. While Joobsbox doesn't have all the bells-and-whistles out of the box, with Zend as its frame I'd love to see what programmers could bend it into.
I have seen a lot of scripts in this regard, but lastly open source is always better and hence jobberbase is a good open source software.in this regard.
Hi I tried to contact dieselscripts.com for their job site script but the webpage redirects to http://www.phpsugar.com/phpmelody.html Has diesel changed its contact details ?
hello to everyone, there were some questions about pg job site pro job board script here, i can share my experience and answer questions if there are any about it, i used this script to build a website for a client. what i liked: - it is possible to pay for the script by parts which was necessary for me. - the script includes all the necessary features so I had just to customize some minor things for my client's needs - useful addons for sending newsletters, putting banners on the site and providing online courses for job seekers. what i didn't like: - it took a while for support team representatives sometimes to find answers to my questions, but in general i like that i can enter their live chat anytime and get assistance, there was always someone to talk to. if there were any issues, they were fixed in a timely manner my general opinion: i liked the script and service provided. would definitely recommend it.
Hi, I'm looking for good job software. There seem to be a few good comments about Jamit, but there are 1 or 2 things I'm not sure about: 1. Location looks like it's type-in, not a drop-down menu, so job-seekers can't filter by location so easily. Unless I'm misunderstanding it? And I can't see any plug-in that deals with this...? 2. I've read through all the posts in this thread and there are a couple of comments about Jamit being very difficult to change the look of. Any other opinions/observations on that? 3. SEO - there's a report at the following link (see the comment "Bad for search engines") that the SEO-ability of Jamit is not good. I found another similar report somewhere, but I can't re-find it now. However, that report is a number of years old, and possibly bad-mouthing from a competitor - it's beside another disputed 'bad' comment, and the comment is contested by Jamit staff. But any comments on Jamit SEO?
This post: sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=548463# ...has pretty much put me off WebScribble's webJobs package. Though I might consider it if that's all wrong, or if they've sorted their act out. Any experience with them anyone?
joblite.co.uk/ software: I can't find much in the way of comments on this - which could be a good thing - indicating there are no complaints - but equally nothing to really indicate people's experiences. Any experiences with it?
One key thing I need in my job board software is for contact details relating to jobs to be viewable Only to job-seeker-members of my site. Company name should also only be viewable to job-seeker-members. Job description and other details should be viewable to anyone. As far as I can figure out, Jamit has the ability to make specific inputs in fields not visible except to members. So I think that would achieve what I'm looking for. Anyone know of other job software packages that enable this?
After looking through some more job board software packages, I'm also interested in Jobsoftpro.com and Jobeet.org - - if anyone has any experience of these...?
Hi Richard, Sorry to hear that. Please get in touch with us if you still have concerns. If you look at the first post of that thread you might notice that most of those are feature requests and improvements to the software. Since that post, all of those have been implemented. That user, last I checked, is also still using webJobs.
There is actually an option for this in the admin area. If you get in touch with us, I would be happy to show you how this is done.
Hi Richard, We used Jobsoftpro.com script for one of our clients, it had almost all of the required features so we stopped our research on it. If you have any questions in regards to it, you can pm me or ask your questions here, I'll be glad to share my experience about this script.
This looks like just a site with many links to different job sites to me. They layout they're using looks like they simply took our webJobs template (the orange/green theme).
I'll say again, I'd really like to see you guys include a link to your job boards once they are up and running; or, if you want some beta testing help pre-release. I'll be happy to do so when mine is ready to go. Another topic worth talking about is how you actively promote your board once it is up and running. How do you get the companies and the job seekers aware of your existence? Any of you go so far as to do a press release? Just an interesting post and haven't seen Paul at DP , still would love to see some anwsers ?
I sell a job search engine that shows the latest jobs matching a query in the USA, UK and Canada. Selling for $45
Hello, Most Job Board Script is paid by Employers. I'd like to have free posting jobs for employers. Jobseekers can see brief details about postings, but in order to see the company names, contact info etc, they have to pay. Do you know any script? Thanks.
