    Just think of the most popular ones in the world. I don't know for certainty, but Google, eBay, Facebook, MySpace, CNN, Yahoo, those are all probably among the most popular. Generally though, don't copy them, look at why they were successful. They offered something unique that had value to website visitors. You should follow that same formula and you might be successful too! :)
