My question is very similar, or maybe the same, so rather than open a new thread I'll post here. I need graphic images for buttons and controls: 'go', 'submit', 'download', 'help/info', etc. Where is a good place to find those? The links above seem to be for photos.
Try out: http://www.iconfinder.com/ It has a large database. A lot of them are free to use, but makes sure you read the terms of use.

I use photos.com a lot while designing for web. I like their subscription packages and also able to find many relevant images time to time. But I lack mostly when I try to find proper images of human faces .
istockphotos.com is definitely great if you're willing to pay. otherwise, try sxc.hu although if you search for "free stock photos" on Google, you will get many more results of free stock photo websites.
