I have $40 to spend but I don't know how I should advertise my Arcade website. Should I buy 1 way links? Advertise on bigger arcades? etc etc...

Id recomend going to a website like freelance.com and using that $40 to get someone to write some good articles about your site. You can then use them on your own site or submit them to article directories which in time will bring lots of backlinks to your site.

i'd buy a backlink or two. You can easily find tons of arcade sites similar to yours that you can purchase backlinks from. Make you use good text to link to your site.

I was looking for those sites but I can't seem to find them. It's pretty funny though, when I'm not looking for them, I find them. When I am looking for them, I don't O_O lol.

If your site has AdSense on it I wouldn't go with bulletin spamming. I've heard way too many horror stories where people would buy a couple of bulletins, get incredible traffic/revenue and then be banned a few days later.

So this is probably the 6th time I've said it but I'd recommend Arcade Banners. With that $40 you could buy 80k impressions ($0.50 per 1000 impressions) which, providing you have a CTR of 3%, will give you 2400 unique hits. You have to be careful with the times you display your ad, or else your impressions will be used up with useless foreign traffic that will click the ad, not understand a word on the site and leave within a few seconds. Generally I've found that with US/UK traffic they will play a few games before leaving the site and a large portion of them (20-30%) are returning visitors

If you sign up at Arcade Banners I'll be able to provide you with a decent 100 x 100 .gif banner that's worked really well for me. If you want it, shoot me a PM.

If i were you i would spend all money on links from arcade sites with high pagerank and ofcourse with high ranking in search engines.

Writing articles is a great way to get visitors but you can do it yourself, get article submitter (it is free) and write about your experiences why did you get into arcades etc. include your short bio with link to your site in the footer and that's it. I don't know why but people like to read this kind of stuff.
