I'm using 1&1 for all my blogs. They do offer WordPress automatically but it's limited. The host must have a Linux package to be able to use WordPress. For example, 1&1 has Linux and Microsoft hosting but the Microsoft hosting don't have a blog option.
I have domains with them but When I read about them I decided not to host with them. They are very late in billing as well. When i bought domains first time I was billed around 2 weeks later and second time I bought domains I was billed 20 days later . This is why I never chose to host with them due to their billing
izeaus: When your started to write about billings, I was expecting about double billing or some kind of error. Your motivation not to use it is not a very valid point imho. Plus, you have companies that will bill at certain dates for different reasons. You can pay via PayPal now so I imagine it's direct payments. I don't use that method. Also, I canceled a package last week and was refunded for the rest which was normal.
Actually I dont think that there is a hosting especially for blogs... all hosts should work for that......
