    hi everyone
    I am planning to set up a small online shop to sell stuffed animals in united states only using prestashop cms and need your advice on a good hosting+domain deal that would meet my needs and wont cost much. I anticipate 1-5k hits per day, not more.

    For that kind of traffic, you need at least VPS.

    actually, i exaggerated. not since day one, even at later stages, i wont hit thousands in hits. especially first couple of months it wont even reach 1k.
    do u think i still should get a vps?

    Just get a shared hosting and spend the money on building your website, as you hit your limits, your host will alert you and tell you to move to a VPS.

    I would recommend you Hostgator or Zyma(cheap) for Hosting and Name.com or Godaddy.com for domains... Godaddy Running up 30% discounts on domains(Coupon Code : gdz921r)

    For earlier stages you can get a Shared Hosting and when your traffic goes up to 1.5K+ then you can shift to a VPS..
