I am to go for a WordPress blog. Can you please suggest a good host for me? I have found lot for under $10. But almost all charge annually. Is there a good one that charge monthly with all common linux hosting features and $0 setup fee? webgaya.
DreamHost? They have a one-click Wordpress install and offer all standard features, I think, plus it's pretty cheap.
i don't think there's any special requirement for installing and running wordpress... so any host that you can find providing mysql and php should be fine... it's the other factors (not related to wordpress) that you have to consider - bandwidth, disk space, etc. - all to do with $$$.
Sorry it bothers you. My intent certainly wasn't to spam my affiliate link--I use DreamHost and am happy with them, so it was an honest recommendation.
It's actually against this forum's TOS. Not that it bothers me if it makes you some $$. . I would have done the same if this was allowed.
Unless I'm missing something, the rules don't explicitly say not to post affiliate links. They say not to spam the forum with affiliate links, which was the whole point of my last post. Either way, I still recommend DreamHost.
Hi friends, Stop fighting! I have met DreamHost but it has a setup fee. Please read my necessities. What about Anhosting.com that WordPress recommand? I couldn't find weather there is an annual payment. webgaya.
Hmm... there are plenty... try WebHostingTalk forums. I have several WordPress blogs-- great blogging platform. Q...
Webgaya, there's many hosts out there that don't charge an annual fee,but since you ask here's some good hosts: hostgator.com hive.com.my brius.com
I'm using SiteGround. They're not well known, but they have a terrific package and the BEST customer service I've ever experienced. cPanel is included, with Fantastico, which makes the WordPress installation a snap. They have biannual, annual, 3 month, and monthly plans. There IS a twenty dollar setup fee for anything less than a year. Ranges from $4.95/mo for two years up to $8.95 for monthly. Also includes domain registration at no add'l charge. As a frame of reference, looks to me like Dreamhost charges a $50 setup fee when you go month to month, and that HostGator only has annual plans, not month to month. I'm really happy with SiteGround. http://www.siteground.com Good luck! -Kat
Hi please give us a look 75% off your first month! In the Enter Promotion Code field use the code 75off http://dicewebhosting.com/hosting.php
why not try a free web host?? www.frehostia.com offers free host with no ads. Wordpress is avaible to install (by 2 or 3 clicks) using the elephante program on the control panel. you can place your adds and so... there's no issue with it.. and if you want to spend 10 bucks in your own domain.... you can place it there seting up the nameservers. I own an account there and is a really good deal. offcourse, as soon as you need an upgrade... go for a paid host
