Best Host for WordPress blogs?

I have heard both Bluehost and SiteGround are good. SiteGround offers more traffic and webspace.

Anyone have any experience with these?

I use HostICan and KnownHost here. Both are cPanel and fantastico ready for one click wordpress installation.

any reliable host offering php&mysql support can be good for hosting WP! i don't think there must be some very special thing particularly for Wordpress

If you're new to blogging and buying hosting I would advise you to go with Godaddy. It's about the best and cheapest you'll find.

The metropolis feature has WP installation. Anyway it's so easy to install WP that it's hardly worth it. A good thing about Godaddy is that they accept Paypal.

I use GoDaddy as my registrar but NOT for hosting...a client of mine uses them for hosting and has a lot of down-time :(
However, a couple of my clients use Bluehost and they are very happy with them...

it's really hard to pick a good host...most hosting companies offer Fantastico which includes one-click install for WordPress and a whole slew of other software to pick from ...

    good luck :)

I'm sorry but I have to questions your clients credibility. I've been using Godaddy for years and never had any down that I can recall. Their hosting plans are cheap, stable and very good all in all. Do you really believe a hosting company like Godaddy has that much down time???

I use Godaddy for my wordpress sites, it's worked pretty good. Very little down time.

Where ever you go make sure and use alinux server not windows. Even though windows will work, Linux does a much better job with wordpress.

Selecting a host for WP isn't too difficult as most modern hosts meet WP requirements.

If you are new, then fantastico might be necessary for you. ASO, hostgator, dreamhost,lunarpages...there are tons of hosts from which you can choose

    I host many wordpress blogs.

If you need hosting for your wordpress, just let me know.

I will even install it or you can use Fantastico to install it in one click.

I have experience with bluehost hosting.

They are a great host. I have 2 wordpress blogs with them, and 3 sites, no problems to date. I get 1-800 tech support, and live chat support, which is great.

They also have 1 click WordPress Installation.
