Hostgator is best for startup forums. For busy forums you should go for VPS providers.

I'll never use or suggest hostgator for anything, unless you want to be oversold ;)

I have noticed many people don't like hostgator just because they are saying "Unlimited" on their site. But the fact is that there is really a "limit" even on hostgator. You can upload only a specific no. of files (Total 250,000).

I have never noticed my sites slow or down for the past 4 months.

And as I said for busy forums you should go with VPS because every site's requirement is different.

I use GoDaddy. As I've only sought their support once since getting hosting from them about two years ago, all I can say is that I am pleased that the service has been without a hitch, and my website has never been down. Of course, I've read some horror stories about GoDaddy, and I'm sure there's some pretty awesome hosts out there. I am not endorsing GoDaddy, but me and my friend have used their service for many years and have never had a problem, so it's not Hell for everyone.

I use SiteGround for my host. I just upgraded my hosting to their business elite package. I'm very happy so far. I know sooner or later I will need to go vps. Just avoiding the inevitable for now.:)

Depends on the traffic you're expecting. If it's a low traffic go with something like westhost, if it's a high traffic website go with pair.com or theplanet

I am with hostgator and have there VPS, getting 100 thousand users per month and 250 concurrent users. But having issues with there hosting and server is going down twice a week because of Vbulletin + VBSEO.

Can someone suggest me some good host please.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, So the 2 forms you have in your signature are on hostgator shared hosting ?
I can see you are not using VBSEO, for me main problem is VBSEO, my site can not live without it, and its also killing me server.

    Please help.
