Best homepage setup for better SEO?

    Hi,

I have a question regarding homepage of my upcoming blog (wordpress) which has a forum (vBulletin) as well. I was planning on creating a homepage, where I can show titles of new blog entries and hopefully new forum posts (widget), and on top I will have to tabs "Blogs" and "Forums".

Now my question is, is it a good configuration for SEO or should I make "blog" my homepage since it will have all posts on the home page? Which one is better or how could I improve my homepage if I were to go for the first setup.

    Thanks

IMO make blog as your home page and add a link in the navigation bar to jump to the forums section.

You want to make sure your site has a structure that reflects the content. (1) Is your site is mostly a blog with a forum off the side of it or (2) is it mostly a forum with a blog off the side or (3) is it a blog and a forum that are equally important? You want your main categories in your main content section(s) to be the pillars of your navigation through out the site.
