I am having a few problems finding a reliable FTP to transfer full website packages to my host in one go. I have been using free ones which is maybe why i'm not getting alot of success. Any tips? Thanks
In 10 years of web development, I have never found a really good FTP package. I use CuteFTP from Globalscape. It's far from perfect, but seems to be best suited to what I do. Your mileage may vary. Sometimes I just use the command line FTP client in Windows.
Take a look at this thread hope it helps you re selection http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=193723
You got my words After switching to fire ftp no other program looks like a steal. It could'nt be easier using an ftp program. Free and effective You can also add some more extensions like faster fox to enhance performance. Open source is KING I.i.P
Before dreamweaver had the ftp functions added to it i used to use leech ftp which is really good and simple to use.
