All the freelance sites you mentioned are good and anyone with some skills can make some money working on there. The interface of each site is different and some are easier to use than others, so you may eventually prefer one over the others after signing up. You didn't mention People Per hour and Fiverr. Fiverr is a much different and unique freelance site (if you ignore the clones).

On Fiverr, everything sells for $5 although you can add gig extras to augment your earnings. It's easy to get started as well and doesn't require filling out exhaustive profile information or submitting your ID card.

Odesk and Elance are both my first choice, freelancer was good but now it seems hard to get job and the scammer getting more and more

Some of them seem to be tied together and share information via API or something I'm pretty sure. I use Odesk and Freelancer to hire.

In my humble opinion, YOU make it the best.

For freelancing, I think it's how you build up your rep that determines if the site is good. Be active in marketing yourself, taking up jobs and gathering good reviews.

Odesk & Elance are overcrowded and pretty similar. It's how you build your portfolio that matters.

Odesk is a good way to get candidates. You just need to make sure you choose the right candidate.
