I'm trying to keep an eye on the competition and I'm using sites like Quantcast, Compete, Alexa, and link:url on Google. Any other resources anyone uses to see where sites are getting traffic from?
You should consider using backlinkwatch or other backlink finding services. This would give you a good idea of where most of the marketing money is going if they are buying ads at other places.
