Best Free Web Directories

My intent was to keep it simple. Nothing flashy, not over bloated with ads/images. Just simple. I think that is what makes Google so sucessful. A very simple unabashed UI.

The more sites get clogged up with ads and garbage, the less I use them....

The cleaner the better, no doubt....

I use all these as sources when posting my clients. It takes about 6-8 hours hand submitting them but worth the effort.

I know I said it before, but "There are sure a lot of directoires" out there.

 

so which ones are the top 10?
DMOZ, Yahoo! then what, zeal skaffe joeant?

 

I'd rate those five as being in the bottom 10.

The top directories are the ones that process submissions quickly and have good PR.

As many of the 300+ directories are new since the last Google PR update, it is difficult to tell who has good PR and who doesn't.

The result is that the best policy is to submit to them all. (Except those which use redirected links.)

 

I have placed the above directory list on my site (http://www.bigoakinc.com/limb/seo-directories.php). I have updated a few PR numbers and organized them based on their PR Rank.

I have been trying to add more directories to this list but so far only a few more additions have come about. Please pass this link along to anyone who would like to add their directory to this growing list. Thanks.

It is ranked #12 when you do a search for SEO Directories in Google (and who knows what else), so hopefully it will be found often and be of use to many seo consultants.

I hope anyone who has a worthwhile directory will send me an email so I can add more. I will do my best to add it within a few days.
