    There are lots of software which i found best are as follows:
    1. Photoshop
    2. Firebug
    3. Css editor
    4. WebWizard

    and yes, Wordpress also.

    It looks like faking your location does make you sillier . The OP who's pretending to be from Australia and is in fact from India asked about free design software . You on the other hand pretend to be from the USA (you're from India stop being ashame of it) totally ignored the word free and posted some copy/pasta stuff .

    Would you care to explain how can you design a wireframe with Wordpress ? Let me know when you find out .

    Hi I have used Website x5 Evolution 9 which is not free, but the website does offer a free version that might be of interest to you have a look here websitex5.com this program is great for beginners as it's much easier to use the dreamweaver etc.

    Photoshop and Dreamweaver and everything from Adobe is not free. For image manipulation you have GIMP which works on all platforms and for code editing on Windows you have Notepad++, for MACOS integrated TextEdit is ok.

    Wordpress would be a good place to start. It is also an open-source application for processing blogs.

    You need to check out Wix.com - it's not a 'free website creation software' - but it allows you to create websites for free.

    The domain name will not be independent (you'll have to upgrade for that), but I'm sure you know that there are no free lunches.

    Guys, Wordpress it's CMS not web-design software. For all who look for free software for web development i suggest to try Aptana Studio. It's free, powerful and cross-platform application. I use it for Ubuntu and Windows.

    The OP was asking for free software. Adobe's arrogant pricing is as antithetical to free to as it can get. Unless you're talking about using Trial versions, which is quite uncomfortable.
