Best free way to get traffic.

Well, I've experiencing same problem during 2010. Launched a new site on Business, and keep updating on a daily base and promoting the posts on social networking and social bookmarking sites to attract traffic. But the monthly traffic increase really slowly.... like increased by 100 per month, which is pretty depressing.
However, from last December, the pace of increase in traffic become dramatic, almost by 1K per month, and now I'm having unique traffic of 18K per month to the site. I was told that, it is just because, it really takes a while for the traffic to increase. The more content you've got on your site, the more submission you've made to different directories and social bookmarking, etc. will eventually help. Sometimes, it could be sooooo long that it is almost a pain. But when it started to grow, you will see it it so dramatic.
So, I could only suggest that Hang On There Mate.

exactly what rick said. the .blogspot part of the domain just makes it look a little bit taky in my oppinion. go and purchase some hosting and a real web domain.

That will kick start the traffic

for me the best way to get traffic are auto and manual surfs... thanks to them my site gets about 700.000 views a month

I believe if you follow this it will work for you and it is useful as well.

See you need to try regularly, if you do for few days or few weeks than it won't work because there should be consistency
in the work every single day.

Most important you need to transfer your blogger blog to wordpress than it will be really helpful to get rank properly in search engines..

It depends on the content and niche that you are targeting, some niches may not be competitive, and some may not be competitive at that particular time

 

Me too. The real value of a domain name isn’t helping people find your site the first time; it’s helping them find it the second time, after they forgot to bookmark it. The hard part about domain name problems is that you can’t tell when you have them but a good domain is worth a lot more than you realize.

I've extensively scanned this thread, and found some useful
nuggets of information. Something that appears to be missing,
which I'd like to add, pertains to tracking.

There are a lot of different avenues through which to get "free"
traffic of the kind generally being discussed in this thread.

Speaking from personal experience, nothing is more frustrating
than to do a ton of SEO related tasks and not really be sure
which specific task is generating the bulk of the traffic that one's
site is receiving.

Seriously think about what infrastructure (if any) you have in
place to determine in as accurate a way as possible what things
you're doing are yielding the most results. You can then cut
away the stuff that's less effective and double, triple, or even
quadruple your success by only doing the things that you can
verify are having an impact.

Good advise but I do not see anyone talking about ReadThrough Marketing.

 

Since everybody else have suggested that you should buy your own domain then I will recommend that you jump in into video marketing. There is a big difference when you do video marketing and article marketing altogether.
