Hi, I've been using a few paid photo sources for obtaining stock photos. Which are the best FREE photo sources? Photos that are allowed to be published here and there. (Many stock photography sites advertise themselves as "free", but in reality, you always have to pay at least some membership fees). I was using iStockphoto, but recently their fees got a lot higher, so I want to give up using them. I'm looking for something high quality, free... multiple sources would be fine.
I've been looking for these kind of websites recently. Photodune.net is one of the best cheap paid stockphoto website. Those Royalty-Free websites are misleading! Some friends recommended these websites. Although i haven't tried them yet. unsplash.com allthefreestock.com
I currently use graphicstock dot com, with a new account, you have 7 day trial for about 10 images downloaded everyday freestockphotos, com is a good choide, too.
And, is graphicstock free for that 7 days trial? Or is it like a paid trial? The first one is not working.
Yes, in the first new 7 days, you can download upto 10 images per day but donot forget to leave the image credit as its a much in their term of use. The images are in high HD quality.
Legally you cannot use a photo you find on the web with out the photographer's permission. Stock photography websites contain thousands of existing photographs that can be licensed for specific uses. A customer who uses stock photography instead of hiring a photographer can save time, effort and money. Typically publishers can either purchase exclusive rights to a single image or they can purchase a subscription of sorts. The subscriptions allow publishers to download a limited number of photos over a specified period of time. Stock photo websites allow webmasters, marketers and publishers to locate pictures for their marketing and promotional materials without the hassle of organizing a photo shoot. With copyright laws businesses must be very careful in using unlicensed photos. There are also risks to using "free" photographs. Many of the free websites contain collaborative works from multiple photographers and artists. While the websites attempt to monitor the images in their collections in violation of copyright laws, there are no guarantees. If you opt to use photographs or images from a free portal, it is important to keep this in mind. My favorite stock photo website is: photo-wizard.net Here is where you can find some other inexpensive stock photo directories: small-business-software.net/stock-photography.htm Goodluck
