Best FREE software for MP4 to MP3 conversion?

    I have a 41.7MB mp4 file that needs to be compressed and converted to mp3. What's the best FREE software out there for this?

    mp3 is audio file formats. To get audio from mp4 video, you need some software that can extract audio from video.

    Try using mp4cam2avi to convert to avi, then open in VirtualDub and save the wav. Then encode to mp3.

    oh come on! haven't you heard of Format Factory?, I suggest that you should give it a try that's the best for me right now and it's quite fast...
