Wouldnt mind getting a forum indexed nicely. Im thinking something built in php but designed so that htaccess has to be configured to run php within html pages. Anything like this? Or maybe a forum that would be easily mod'ed to include something like that.

I have used SEO Board - very light weight and search engine friendly if you set it up with mod_rewrite.

phpbb does not come with an easy way to make it sef. It sure would be nice if there was a plugin that could be turned on by just one click, but there's not to my knowledge. There's instructions to do this manually, but it takes 20-30 minutes and it's tedious.

Ugh..the couple phpbb sef url friendly mods are EXTREMELY easy to install and free. I know 3 decent ones that take less than 5 minutes each.

I just visited your site and noticed the urls are not sef and the title tags display nothing that is relevant to the topic at hand. That script needs some work.

Problem with PhpBB is how many kiddy scripters and the like are out there targeting it. It doesn't help that phpBB has a lot of security holes - unless you seriously keep up to date with the security updates, your forum is in constant danger. I went away for a holiday once for about 2 weeks and came back to a hacked phpbb forum. Currently, I am using SMF more due to the forum abilities and the amount of support available.

Everyone has difference choices, but it appears that phpbb is most popular.
I guess vbulletin is worth it if you don't have time to script.
