    LiveZilla is FREE Opensource PHP Live chat software.
    We are using it since last 6 months but not any issue.
    Hard stuff is installation of it :(

    Me too tried for a live flash chat software.if your site is joomla based then i would suggest you to search in joomla.There is one good flash chat software with a very low price

    Livezilla is good but for the following:
    1. It is no more a Free Software. The latest version has become a paid version.
    2. There are issues with the giving of 777 permissions to its folders with some shared hosting plans which do not permit 777 permissions due to security reasons.
    So I am also now on the lookout for a good Free Live Chat software.

    Now, when Livezilla isn't free anymore I'd suggest you some other solutions which you can find on the market. For example Denise Systems provide a free edition which offers audio & video chat.     Zopim (zopim.com) also looks good :)

    You can try www.focalscope.com . The startup edition is free and includes an excellent chat module with no ads. Also, you can generate statistical reports on your webchats to gain deeper insight into your customer support. I’ve been using Focalscope startup edition for 5 months and am very satisfied.
