    Well i hv not used many, but i and my friends are using the IDM these daz and i dont think any other manager could be better than it. u must try it .

    I use the Down Them All plugin for Firefox, it's free and pretty simple to use and will allow you to pause and resume downloads.

    You can take a look here : www.filehippo.com There's a lot of free programs which you can download for free. I guess you will find free downloader, too.
